I am an award winning Senior Employment Counsel of two different Fortune 500 companies, working as in an in-house role. In my career, I have tried over two dozen cases. I have taken and defended hundreds of depositions and countless employment disputes. The courtroom experience has helped shape my approach to risk, advice and counseling because I have seen how the advice work plays out in Court.

I opened Fractional Employment Counsel to assist people and businesses grow and scale their business and to address issues before they become problems. I enjoy supporting small and mid-size businesses because I believe each owner had a dream to create and build their business and they are living that and should be educated on employment risks to properly mitigate risks, reduce the chance that a $200 dispute turns into a $30,000 problem.

While I have shifted my practice to be primarily advice and counseling, I will handle select litigated matters, or serve and oversee outside counsel.

I take immense pride in my work, the most career enjoyment I get is from providing pro bono legal services to children, mothers of abuse, and active duty servicemembers.

I have received the In-House Counsel award in 2022, a Diversity & Inclusion award in 2022, and In-House PowerLIST in 2026. For three years in a row the American Bar Association has recognized me for my work serving the ABA Military Pro Bono Project. I also received a COA from the highest ranking General in the State of Kansas for providing pro bono services to a reservist in an adoption matter.
